Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is designed to be personalised, accessible and ambitious.
We want pupils to gain knowledge, develop skills, build confidence and work towards meaningful outcomes. We recognise that pupils may arrive with gaps in learning, low confidence or disrupted educational experiences, so our curriculum is planned to help them re-engage and progress from their individual starting points.
Learning at The Tutorial Foundation includes academic subjects, literacy and numeracy development, personal development, PSHE, enrichment, practical learning and preparation for adulthood.
Our curriculum is adapted to meet pupils’ individual needs, including their EHCP outcomes where appropriate. We aim to provide a curriculum that is broad, purposeful and relevant to pupils’ needs, interests and futures.
Our curriculum is regularly reviewed and developed so that it remains appropriate, purposeful and ambitious for our pupils. We continue to strengthen subject planning, literacy, numeracy, practical learning and wider curriculum opportunities so that pupils can build knowledge, confidence and skills over time.
