
Headteacher – Mario Di Clemente

Mario Di Clemente is an educational leader with over 30 years’ experience. After graduating from university with a modern languages degree and teaching qualification, Mario taught Spanish, Italian and EFL (English as Foreign Language). Since 2000, he has occupied various senior leadership and management positions including as Principal of three schools in London, Surrey and Wiltshire, ensuring that each school met the diverse needs, abilities and backgrounds of all its students. He has also served as Chief Operations Officer of a Multi-Academy trust in south London and as a secondary school governor. Mario’s experience extends to both the independent and state sectors at primary, secondary and further education level, and in both day and boarding school environments. He has led schools through highly successful and outstanding inspections of Compliance and Educational Quality, both by Ofsted and the ISI, and has served a as school inspector. As Head of The Tutorial Foundation, Mario is committed to ensuring that the school is a safe, happy and nurturing place of learning where every student enjoys their time, feels valued and achieves their best.

Head of Pastoral Care – Sarah Baker

Sarah leads the school’s pastoral provision, helping to ensure that pupils feel safe, listened to and supported. Her role focuses on wellbeing, relationships, behaviour, attendance and the wider emotional needs of pupils. Sarah works closely with families and staff to provide consistent, reassuring support around each young person.

Head of Admissions and Offsite – Josie Furness

Josie leads on admissions, referrals and offsite provision. She supports families, local authorities and professionals through the referral process and helps ensure that each placement is carefully considered. Josie also oversees arrangements for pupils accessing offsite or alternative provision, helping to ensure that support remains joined-up, safe and appropriate.

Head of Operations – Tertia Turner

Tertia oversees the operational systems that help the school run smoothly and effectively. Her role supports the organisation, communication and day-to-day functioning of the school, ensuring that staff, pupils, families and professionals have clear processes and reliable support.

SENCO – Vicky Collman

Vicky leads the school’s SEND provision and works to ensure that pupils’ individual needs are understood and supported. She works closely with staff, families, local authorities and external professionals to help pupils access learning, make progress towards their EHCP outcomes and develop confidence, independence and resilience.

Managing Director – Irvine Turner

As Managing Director of The Tutorial Foundation, Irvine has overall responsibility for the organisation’s strategic direction, development and operational oversight. He works closely with the Proprietor, Headteacher and senior leaders to ensure that the school continues to provide a safe, high-quality and supportive provision for pupils, families and local authorities.
Irvine is committed to maintaining The Tutorial Foundation’s ethos of C.A.R.E. Calm, Ambitious, Reassuring and Empowering – and to ensuring that the organisation continues to develop in line with pupils’ needs, statutory responsibilities and school improvement priorities.

Proprietor – Karen Turner
As Proprietor of The Tutorial Foundation, Karen Turner has overall legal responsibility for the school and for ensuring that the school meets the Independent School Standards. Karen works with the Managing Director, Headteacher and senior leaders to support the school’s strategic direction, statutory compliance and continued development.
Karen is committed to ensuring that The Tutorial Foundation provides a safe, supportive and high-quality environment where pupils are understood, valued and able to make meaningful progress.
