Welcome to The Tutorial Foundation Day School.
We are a small, specialist independent school for young people who need something different from a mainstream setting. Many of our pupils have experienced barriers to learning, attendance, confidence or wellbeing. Our role is to help them feel safe, understood and ready to learn again.
At the heart of our school is C.A.R.E. We aim to provide an environment that is Calm, Ambitious, Reassuring and Empowering.
Calm, because young people learn best when they feel safe, settled and supported.
Ambitious, because every pupil deserves high expectations and the chance to achieve meaningful academic, social and personal progress.
Reassuring, because many of our pupils and families have had difficult experiences of education and need to know that they are listened to, understood and valued.
Empowering, because our goal is to help pupils build confidence, independence and the skills they need for life beyond school.
We offer small classes, personalised learning pathways, strong pastoral care and close work with families, local authorities and external professionals. Our pupils are supported to develop academically, emotionally and socially, with a curriculum and wider provision designed around their individual needs.
